At ISOP, our Middle School Programme (MS) builds on the foundation of the PYP and marks a new stage of growth
This is where students begin to transition into independent thinkers developing not only academic skills, but also character, resilience, and confidence. With a strong focus on inquiry, responsibility, and real-world understanding, we encourage students to stay curious, take initiative, and understand themselves as part of a global community. It’s a balanced journey that nurtures both personal development and academic readiness for the challenges ahead.
ISOP is transitioning to the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
ISOP is proud to be an authorized IB World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), Starting 2025-26 school year, ISOP is a Candidate School* for the MYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that ISOP believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org
Following a successful authorisation MYP at ISOP will span four years (M5-M8), and culminate in the Community Project, a student-led experience that promotes initiative, collaboration, and social awareness. Throughout the programme, students engage with a broad range of MYP subject groups, ensuring balanced development across disciplines
Emphasis on Language Development
Languages are at the heart of international education. At ISOP, students are immersed in English as the language of instruction, Polish as the host language, and can study Spanish or German as additional languages. Language learning fosters cultural understanding, open-mindedness, and communication, all essential skills in a globally connected world.
Fueling Curiosity through STEM
Mathematics and the sciences encourage students to investigate the world through research, experimentation, and critical analysis. Students build a foundation in Mathematics and Biology, with Chemistry and Physics introduced as they progress through the programme. Scientific inquiry is integrated with real-world applications and ethical considerations, preparing students for future academic exploration.
Stage Power – Student Voice
At ISOP, the MS is a place where students are seen, heard, and empowered. Whether through presentations, performances, debates, or student-led events, learners are regularly invited to step into the spotlight to express themselves, take initiative, and grow in confidence. These moments on stage, both literal and symbolic are more than just activities; they are opportunities to build essential life skills. Students learn to communicate clearly, listen actively, think critically, and engage respectfully with others. They begin to understand the power of their voice and the responsibility that comes with it. By encouraging students to take on roles as speakers, leaders, and collaborators, we prepare them not only for academic success, but for active participation in the world around them.
After School Clubs
ISOP offers a variety of extracurricular activities where students can discover and explore their passions. These spaces provide opportunities to develop outside of the classroom and make connections with other students over shared interests. From creative arts and science to sports and activism, every student will find a place for themselves.

Class Excursions
MS strives to balance academic development with social and personal development. Throughout the school year, students get to explore Poznan and neighbouring cities; delve into their art, culture and history; and have fun at skating rinks and parks. Longer trips, called green schools, are annual adventures that promote group integration, independence, responsibility, cooperation, communication, and more, all while having lots of fun! Higher MS grades get to experience winter adventures with our thrilling ski trips. Every year, they hit the slopes in stunning destinations such as France, Italy and Austria to make unforgettable memories with their friends during these white schools.
PRIMARY SCHOOL GRADUATION
Primary school graduation marks a pivotal moment in a student’s life. It is a celebration of growth and the foundation of lifelong learning. It is a milestone where achievements are recognized, friendships are celebrated, and the next chapter of education begins with confidence and excitement. At this stage, our Primary School students carry forward not only knowledge and skills but also the values of resilience, creativity, and a love for learning that will guide them into the future.
