§ 1 General Principles and Definitions
- Pursuant to Art. 173 of the Act of July 16, 2004, Telecommunications Law, the Foundation International School of Poznań, with its registered office in Poznań (60-147, ul. Taczanowskiego 18), KRS number 0000231789, NIP no. 7792253647, REGON 300031400, hereinafter referred to as the “Service Administrator,” introduces a “cookies” policy, hereinafter referred to as the “Policy.”
- This Policy concerns “cookies” and refers to websites operated by the Service Administrator, i.e., pages visible at the portal address: www.isop.pl.
- Whenever the following terms are used in this Policy, they shall mean in each instance:
- a) “Service” – the service located on the Internet at the address www.isop.pl, as well as all functions and tools available through this service.
- b) “User” – any person who utilizes the resources of the Service in any manner.
- c) “Personal Data” – is understood as information containing personal data within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Act, including, among others: name and surname, telephone number, email address, and other data, including contact details, entered by the User.
§ 2 What are “cookies”
- “Cookies” are small text files stored on the Users’ end devices, intended for the use of websites.
- “Cookies” allow for the recognition of the User’s device and the appropriate display of the website, tailored to their individual preferences. “Cookies” usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, the storage time on the end device, and a unique number.
- As a rule, two fundamental types of “cookies” are used: “session” (session cookies) and “persistent” (persistent cookies).
- “Session” cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser).
- “Persistent” cookies are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the parameters of the “cookies” or until they are manually deleted by the User.
§ 3 What “cookies” are used for
- “Cookies” are used to tailor the content of websites to the User’s preferences and to optimize the use of websites. They are also used to create anonymous (without personal identification of the User), aggregated statistics that help understand how the User uses the websites, which allows for the improvement of their structure and content.
- The Service Provider stores “cookies” on the User’s end device and subsequently gains access to the information contained therein for statistical purposes and to ensure the proper functioning of the website.
- “Cookies” do not contain identifying data; the identity of anyone cannot be established based on them. These files are in no way harmful to web browsing devices and do not change their settings or the settings of the software installed thereon. Reading the content of these files is possible only by the server that created them.
§ 4 “Cookies” and Personal Data
“Cookies” are not used to process personal data, and their content does not allow for the identification of the User. Personal data collected using “cookies” may be collected solely for the purpose of performing specific functions for the User. Such data is encrypted in a manner that prevents access by unauthorized persons.
§ 5 Deleting “cookies”
- As a rule, software used for browsing websites—web browsers—allows for the placement of “cookies” on the end device by default.
- The settings referred to above may be changed by the User in such a way as to block the automatic handling of “cookies” in the web browser settings or to inform about their transmission to the User’s device each time. “Cookies” may be deleted by the User after they have been saved by the Service Provider, through appropriate browser functions, programs used for this purpose, or by using appropriate tools available for this purpose within the operating system used by the User.
- Detailed information on the possibility and methods of handling “cookies” when using a given web browser is available in the software settings of that browser.
- Web browser settings on a given device that allow for the saving of “cookies” imply that the User consents to these files being saved on the device they are using.
- The limitation of the use of “cookies” described above may affect some functionalities available on the website.
§ 6 Questions
Questions regarding the scope of the Cookies Policy should be directed via the email address: itsupport@isop.pl, visible on the Service pages, or in writing to the correspondence address.
§ 7 Final Provisions
- In matters not covered by this Policy, generally applicable provisions of law shall apply, in particular, the Act on Personal Data Protection and the Telecommunications Law.
- The Service Administrator reserves the right to make changes to the Policy. Changes enter into force at the moment the amended Policy is posted on the website.
